Spot metering would work. But your camera will "meter" every progressive shot. Shooting in manual mode using a gray card will allow you many shots without "re-metering".Adirondackflytyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10689467112513379828noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3318336224843502145.post-76874866302687041132013-01-15T18:21:38.555-08:002013-01-15T18:21:38.555-08:00Very good information. I don't know enough about the software and the process to really know the best procedures yet...I'm still just playing around with it.

The software I used was Photomatix. From what I've been hearing for the last few years, it's the best option for HDR & tone mapping, so I finally gave it a try.
I've also played around with the HDR option in CS4. It doesn't seem to have the same 'power' as Photomatix, but I think it's a lot easier to get carried away and go over the top with Photomatix, so the Photoshop HDR images looked more 'realistic'.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12425431528888976637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3318336224843502145.post-38938583448096271142010-09-20T20:53:21.940-07:002010-09-20T20:53:21.940-07:00Cool.
